Cotton has a high shrink rate if not pre-shrunk. To help alleviate this high shrink rate, we pre-shrink our cottons before we cut and sew your garment. This helps the garment stay true to size vs. shrinking up and being unwearable after the first wash.
Just be sure to always read through the care label to ensure your cotton clothing is well taken care of. If followed, you should be able to keep your garment in good shape for many years.
WASHING:
- Wash your cotton garment in cold water.
- Do not use bleach, unless washing white cotton.
DRYING:
- Dry flat to ensure no, or minimal, shrinkage after washing.
- If you want to tighten the fabric, or shrink it a little bit, you can dry your cotton garment on a low warm temperature setting.
- Use a warm iron when needed.
